SEAWISE Maritime Services ,
was incorporated in Singapore in the late 1960's as part of the INTECO
group of companies, with offices in Japan, Korea, Philippines, Thailand
and Burma. In the early
1970's, the company was bought out by the local management team and,
over the next 20 years, continued to develop its reputation as a small,
capable surveying company offering quality services to a full range of
customers in the marine industry.
The
company offers a wide range of marine surveys and cargo inspection
services to local and international customers involved in all sectors of
the marine industry, particularly in insurance related matters.
In addition, consultancy services are available to shipowners,
lawyers and parties concerned in the transport of cargo.
Most
of the instructions received by
SEAWISE concern vessels and cargoes in the Singapore and Peninsular
Malaysia areas, however, the excellent air services available from
Singapore have enabled our surveyors to attend instructions throughout
the area from Dubai to Papua New Guinea and North Korea to Tasmania.
SEAWISE’s
long standing in Singapore, and the international connections that we
have enjoyed, enable the company to operate a series of co-operation
agreements with other survey companies of the same standing in the Far
East, the Middle East and Europe, enabling us to give rapid response and
reliable service to our principal's instructions.
To
maintain its position as one of the leading marine survey companies in
Singapore, SEAWISE employs full use of computers within a networked office,
together with telephone links to principal customers to enable the rapid exchange of data. In addition, SEAWISE
has made full use of sophisticated communications systems, and the
company's telephone is manned 24 hours a day.
